Baking Buddies is a fun, hands-on way to support families. Gather your friends, coworkers, or group, bring your favorite baking ingredients, and prepare fresh treats on-site in our kitchen for families to enjoy throughout their stay.
Whether you’re baking cookies, brownies, or another favorite treat, your time in the kitchen helps provide a little extra comfort and makes the House feel more like home. Baking Buddies is available Monday–Friday from 1:30–3:30 p.m.
This comfort kit helps a family with personal needs while staying at the house. Some families come to us unexpectedly and need basic supplies, others stay long enough that they need a replenishment of supplies. Pack up toiletry kits in clear bags that include the following items: shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, toothbrush & toothpaste, deodorant & other travel sized personal care items Those extra special items like slippers, sleep masks, bath bombs really go the extra mile to make a family’s day.
These bags help parents get kids through their days in a joy filled way. They could be based on an age range or have a little bit of everything in them. Ideas for bags: fidget spinners, coloring supplies, puzzles, stickers, on the go games or I-spy. Please avoid edible items for these bags.
Host a Treat Bar and bring a little extra fun to families staying at Ronald McDonald House. Gather a group of up to 8 volunteers and bring everything you need to create and serve a themed treat bar for families to enjoy.
From ice cream sundaes and popcorn to hot chocolate, nachos or other creative favorites, it’s a fun way to provide families with a special treat and a moment to enjoy together.
